EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

CDC Train: Emergency Preparedness

for Community Health Workers

A 10-hour series designed to prepare CHWs to take an active role in disaster response and recovery in their communities. The series includes an introduction to Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response (PHEPR) and PHEPR Science, the importance of collaborative disaster response, understanding the social determinants of health and individuals most vulnerable during disasters, developing a comprehensive disaster communication plan, and caring for oneself and others. The National Kidney Foundation’s (NKF)

NKF continues its Language Flyers initiative to address kidney health needs in our local diverse communities. Please see the quarterly informational flyer with a focus on Holiday Stress and Eating.
