it's been five years....

It's been five years (2019) since our last summit, Community Living Community Driven.

We are so excited to invite you to join us for two incredible days of education, service, and celebration. This event is designed to encourage interprofessional collaboration in public health. Honoring Community Health Workers (CHWs) and all those passionate about community health, this summit is the perfect opportunity for clinicians, students, and other community-facing professionals (doulas, peer supports, addiction specialists, violence interrupters, etc.) to come and learn more about the CHW workforce.

Together, we can, and will, better integrate and support one another in transforming the health of our neighborhoods.

DID WE ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS?

check out the frequently asked questions below.

Who should attend?

YOU!

When powerful minds meet, transformation happens.

We’re encouraging a multidisciplinary crowd with an emphasis on

  • Community Health Workers,

  • Clinicians,

  • Allied Health Professionals,

  • Community Facing Professionals,

  • Students,

  • Public Health Professionals,

  • CHW Managers,

  • Elected Officials, and

  • System Leaders.

If that’s you, grab your ticket, and come join in on the discussions!

Will I get CEUs for the
sessions on Friday?

You sure will!

Friday's Meeting of the Minds will offer eligible participants

at least 10 CEUs,

with an CHW ethics offering,

for the completion of the day.

Should I Still Purchase a Ticket if I Can't Stay the Whole Day?

We would if we were you!

The day is PACKED with information, people and a lot of fun. Participants are free to come and go during the summit as their schedule allows. Grab food, join a meeting and make a new connection.

Although we truly hope you decide to spend the full day with us, any portion of time you're able to give will surely be worth it.

Is the Meeting of the Minds only for CHWs?

Absolutely not!

All are welcome.

We especially encourage those working in, interested in,

or passionate about community health to attend Friday’s

Meeting of the Minds.

This will be an interdisciplinary space, bringing together a range of professionals.

While we will highlight the growing movement and practice of CHWs, the day is designed for consistent engagement and discussion among all participants. Our goal is to learn how to work better, together.

P.S. Saturday will be fun too! That will also be a space to bring friends, family, and co-workers. Come out together, serve, and allow us to say thank you 😊

Is the sneaker ball cancelled?

Yes, but not forever.

We've listened to the feedback from the workforce and realized that the timing of the event isn't optimal right now. We want to ensure everyone has a focused and meaningful experience at the Summit.

Celebrating our workforce in an intimate and intentional way remains a top priority for us.

We're actively working on alternative plans for the near future that will allow us to celebrate and acknowledge our CHWs in a way we can all enjoy.

Stay tuned :)
